Off Shoulder Wedding Style
Wedding · Pre-Wedding Shoot · Reception · Cocktail Party · Fashion Photoshoot
She wanted to wear a gown for her wedding, but she also loved the tradition of a saree — she didn't want to choose between them. This drape is the answer I found for her — and it became one of my favourites. The shoulder is bare, the saree flows, and somehow it looks both Western bridal and completely Indian at once.
The Off Shoulder Wedding Style reimagines the saree through a Western bridal lens — the pallu is draped to leave both shoulders bare, creating a clean, sculpted neckline. It is a purely contemporary drape with no traditional roots, designed entirely for the modern bride who wants to honour her culture while expressing her own aesthetic. It works beautifully with sarees of any fabric, and is a stunning way to drape a manthrakodi saree for the reception — bringing that traditional Kerala Christian bridal fabric into a strikingly modern silhouette.
Complimentary Trial Drape
Every bride gets a complimentary trial run before her big day — she chooses her pleat count, the width of each pleat, and whether she prefers a fuller, puffier finish or a clean, flat one, so Smitha drapes it exactly to her preference.
