Gujarati Seedha Pallu
Gujarati Weddings · Navratri · Garba · Receptions · Dandiya
The Seedha Pallu — also called Sidha Pallu — is one of the most distinctive regional drapes I work with. The pallu goes forward over the right shoulder instead of the left, and once you see it you cannot unsee how different it makes the whole silhouette. It is the Gujarati bride's drape, and it carries that community's joy in every fold.
The Gujarati Seedha Pallu (Sidha Pallu) is defined by its most striking feature: the pallu is brought forward over the right shoulder and pinned at the front, fully displaying the embroidered border to everyone who faces her. Unlike the Nivi drape where the pallu falls behind the left shoulder, the Seedha Pallu presents the saree's most beautiful part front and centre — as a Gujarati bride should be.
Complimentary Trial Drape
Every bride gets a complimentary trial run before her big day — she chooses her pleat count, the width of each pleat, and whether she prefers a fuller, puffier finish or a clean, flat one, so Smitha drapes it exactly to her preference.
